Halloumi Fries

Ingredients

  • 100g Plain Flour
  • 1tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • 1tbsp Herbs
  • 1tsp Pepper
  • 1tsp Salt
  • 2 eggs
  • Panko Breadcrumbs
  • 450g Halloumi
  • Vegetable Oil

Method

Pastry

  1. Cut the halloumi into chip sizes.
  2. Make up 3 bowls. Add eggs to one, flour and spices to the other and the breadcrumbs to the third.
  3. Add the halloumi to the eggs, then the flour then the breadcrumbs and cover.
  4. Add enough oil to to a pan so the halloumi will be totally covered. Get it up to 180 Celcius
  5. Cook for 90 seconds, don’t overcrowd the pan.
  6. Once cooked add to a rack with gaps so it doesnt go soggy
